Medicating Kids (2001)

"In 'Medicating Kids,' FRONTLINE examines the dramatic increase in the prescription of behavior-modifying drugs for children. Are these medications really necessary--and safe--for young children, or merely a harried nation's quick fix for annoying, yet age-appropriate, behavior?"

To that "teacher"
Have you also checked the sympthoms of being a sh... teacher?
You should, shame on you for not being able to control the kids in your class. I can and I am younger then you, and you are just older but not wiser, get some bloody training mate, you talk rubbish.
Children should not be druged, you should provide planty of physical exercise, you should seek for the motivation of the kid, and then provide suitable activities instead of blaming your poor practise on the kid. That is what I do, and guess what it works.

simple concideration: most people giving opinion in this movie are advocates for the use of drugs on kids and they all agree that adhd is a "disorder" that must be treated.
The teachers they interviewed believed in medication to the point that they distributed pamphlets on the use of drugs.
The experts primary source of revenue is the profit makers/drug companies themselves.
and again, nearly all people giving testimony believe in drug treatment.
The descenters presented had the position that ADHD is not real.
They did not explore how other countries deal with kids who have this personality type.
They presented the increase in prescription as a positive thing.
This movie is simply propaganda for pharmaceutical industries and all the views expressed are aligned with the view that drug treatments for mental differences are progressive and necessary.

Sounds like the age-old "snake oil" remedy
leave kids alone with drugs, unless it's a physical problem.
Prior to twenty years ago, these issues weren't a problem(as far as I know). It just meant your child was "gifted" and needed special attention, because they had to be brought forward rather than being held back by drugs
