The most heart breaking thing about watching these neo-con fascist take over the U.S. is that there isn't a damn thing anyone can do about it. Our votes don't count for *** because the media controls who gets elected. And if there is any kind of large scale protest, or attempted revolution even, it will be crushed by our police/military forces. Meanwhile, the poor and middle class march off to war to ensure that the rich get richer and remain in control. I don't buy the BS that says our vote can make a difference. Most, if not all, of the "elected" officials in government are bought and paid for, and they serve those that control the economy. When is the last time "your" government actually did something that made a real positive difference in your life? Think about it.

It's natural to be disenfranchised, natural to react with rage to rage, natural to hurt others when they hurt us, but if the world is savage why should we become savage? And if we necessitate dialogue and a course of action that requires commitment and integrity perhaps we no longer are the savages we supposedly react to or ultimately become.
