"Taped January 3, 1972 at the band's Copenhagen show. 9 songs including "Highway Star," "Strange Kind of Woman," "Child in Time," "Space Truckin'," "Fireball," "Black Night" and more."
What. Are you kidding? Rock is the only way to go. Deep Purple is one of the greats... Pop and top 40 are for the weak minded and the easily impressed. Who want to be spoon fed everything and told what to think. Blackmore is a legeng. ( even if he is an arrogant ass )

I agree with Danea. Ian Paice was by far ahead of his time. He was a great inspiration for my performing. Great band overall. Thanks for the video!

mmm...doesn't get much better than this, now does it. Saw them live in Gothenburg in-74, I think it was. This brings back memories, lots of memories. If one could only turn the clock back...

Ian Paice demonstrates that wicked single stroke roll of his and wails on kit and cymbals with finesse and speed. He is one of the more under-rated rock drummers around, as his quick, deft touch on a bare bones drum kit (without proper mikes and special sound effects) allows his smooth, sweeping speed hits the beat and lifts the music with a driving force, similar to Billy Cobham but without the jazz licks.
