The Benny Hill Show

"A sketch-comedy series in which Hill would often play multiple characters and satirize popular British and American performers and stars. Common themes in the show were the husband-beating wife, buxom women, and silent, high-speed chase scenes between Hill and the other characters." -imdb.com

But what is that crap from imbd.com description saying a common theme was husband beating wife?? If anything, Benny would make fun of husbands getting hit by their wives! Wtf?

thanks for a blast from the past when humor still brought us togeather in a common chorus of laughter for silliness sake. before peoples' taste turned into snide, snobbery and pointed satire for mean-ness sake.

I grew up with Benny Hill... no wonder the Americans don't understand my humor!

Now this is what I was looking for. I loved Benny Hill decades ago, and it's still just as funny today.
